statistics, the number of poor has reached 22 million people. It is
absolutely critical," - she said the TV channel "Russia 24".Deputy Head of the Cabinet of Ministers noted that the fight against
poverty, the government has launched a number of programs, as well as
allowed to use the maternity capital to those who need it, without tying
it to a mortgage, and increased benefits for drug coverage.
Earlier, Rosstat reported that in Russia turned out to be below the poverty line 22.9 million. And this is without taking into account the data of the residents of Sevastopol and the Crimea. This is 3.1 million more than in the first quarter of 2014.
The poverty rate in Russia in the first quarter of 2015 jumped immediately to 15.9% versus 13.8% in the first quarter of 2014. Information is given for both the quarter excluding the data in the Crimea and Sevastopol.
